Grilled Bacon, Cheese and Tomato

Ingredients

  • 4 slices whole wheat or multi-grain bread
  • 1 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2 slices (3/4-ounce) Deli American Cheese
  • 2 thin slices tomato, patted dry
  • 4 spinach leaves or basil leaves (optional)
  • 2 slices crisply cooked bacon

1) Spread 1 side of each bread slice with 1/2 tablespoon butter.

2) To make sandwiches, layer 1 slice cheese, 2 slices tomato, 2 slices bacon, 3 to 4 spinach leaves and 1 slice cheese onto each of 2 slices bread, buttered-side down.

3) Top with remaining bread slices, buttered-side up.

4) Heat 10-inch skillet over medium heat.

5) Place 1 sandwich into skillet.

6) Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
